全球兩最細BB長大成人
【本報綜合報道】一個是二十二歲大學生，一個是七歲的小學一年級生，兩名美國女生看似無關連，但她們卻有共通點，就是出生時均是全球「最細小嬰兒」，體重不足一磅。經過醫生努力搶救，兩人都活下來，多年來健康成長，被視為是醫學奇迹。同一醫院出生馬德琳•曼（Madeline Mann）於八九年在芝加哥出生時僅二十七周大，重九點九安士，是當時世上最輕嬰兒。
○四年，二十六周大的拉赫曼（Rumaisa Rahman）在同一醫院出世，體重更只得九點二安士，至今仍是最輕嬰兒紀錄保持者。兩人皆是因母親身體有問題而要提早出生，初生時亦要靠呼吸儀器維生，並留院四個月才可回家。
