今年六月，以大眾化見稱的H&M宣布跟意大利時裝Versace合作推出系列，當時許多人都傻了眼，還有人打賭，這會是最少人排隊的系列。相較以前的合作單位：Karl Lagerfeld、Stella McCartney、Comme des Garçons、Jimmy Choo和近期的Lanvin，確確實實掀起一片排隊熱，我所指的是香港，不少粉絲連夜排隊為的是要搶到一件半件，搶到的如執到寶，搶不到的酸溜溜，那種盛況，連港聞版也吸引過來，分出小小篇幅報道。
然而來到今次的Versace for H&M，沒料到毁譽的聲音參半，這也叫我感詑異的。因為一個堂堂代表著奢華精緻的國際級時裝品牌，竟然沒一面倒的被讚好，反而有些人毫不感興趣。
事實上，我還沒趕上Versace最在火熱的時代，學生時期的我，對名牌毫無概念，但對范思哲（Gianni Versace）這名字倒有印象，事關1997年，當我還在唸大學的一個暑假，收音機的新聞報導不斷重覆同一段新聞：意大利著名時裝設計師范思哲在美國邁阿密自宅前，遭歹徒槍殺身亡。於是范思哲/Versace這名字不斷在我腦海中盤旋，隔天報刊雜誌被這單國際新聞佔據，回顧著范思哲的經典作品：蛇女頭，金碧輝煌，性感奢華，是他的代名詞。隨後品牌由Versace的妺妺Donatella Versace接替創意總監，可能是神髓不再，又可能是年代和口味轉變，令Versace沉寂下來。

這些年，看過不少Donatella Versace的訪問，看她如何帶領品牌走出哥哥的陰影，怎樣為品牌注入新元素，這些課題都叫我感興趣，或許這就是情意結。從來要比成功更成功都不容易，Donatella每一步都走得不容易，但我倒覺得在她筆下的作品，相對更容易carry，不再是一味的眷戀著金碧輝煌的好日子，但仍保留著一點貴族氣派。
今次與fast fashion巨頭H&M合作，有人說Versace向現實低頭匪夷所思，Donatella又聲稱現在是最適當的時機讓新生代去認識Versace，總之各有說法。最大的得益，當然還是H&M，與高級時裝品牌掛勾，成功帶起話題，又獲向來眼角高的國際時裝雜誌報刊作大篇幅報導，已經大收宣傳之效。
最近Versace for H&M終於發放更多宣傳照片，整個系列共有40件女裝，20件配飾；而男裝則有20件，以及10件配飾。一系列的作品將會回溯Versace過去的設計，也非常八十年代的重口味。女裝以連身裙為主，綴以窩釘皮革，絲綢和色彩繽紛的圖案；配飾方面則有高跟鞋和高級首飾。而男裝則以鮮明的剪裁為重點，包括很鮮豔的上衣、燕尾服、腰帶和男裝首飾等。H&M更首次與設計師合作設計家品，包括cushion和床單。
價錢真是開心價，幾百元起有交易，招牌式印花裙才不過$1290！絕對是Versace十分之一也不到的價錢！這一招crossover，對平民大眾來說，這價錢實在令人眉開眼笑，可以一嘗高級品牌的設計，但卻氣煞了品牌的忠實擁躉，本來神聖而小眾的優越感一下子蕩然無存，分分鐘引發擺買以示不滿。

其實商業上各取所需，名牌尊貴之於質料剪裁和服務，買了一件貴價衣物可以永保長存。然而，大眾化的出品不會考慮質素，只具外形而欠其質，更加不會提供上賓式的款待，做慣豪客的，又怎會接受到漏夜排隊兼儼如開倉般喪搶的環境？
