母愛的偉大

不育婦奇迹懷孕保胎棄治癌
美國俄克拉何馬州一名被指不育的婦人，今年三月奇迹懷孕。但她在不久後證實患癌，她不惜放棄接受化療，以保住胎兒。婦人病情持續惡化，醫生在八月決定替她剖腹取胎，女兒順利來到世上，她則於生產後廿三日離世。

提早剖腹 美婦不久離世
四十一歲婦人克里姆（Stacie Crimm）七月證實患上末期頭頸癌，但她為誕下孩子，不惜放棄化療。但她八月十六日在家中暈倒，送院後證實腫瘤已包圍腦幹。醫生兩日後更發現胎兒心跳轉弱，決定提早剖腹取嬰，早產女嬰多蒂梅出生時僅重兩磅一安士。
母女二人被分送到不同的深切治療部，克里姆每當看見女兒照片都忍不住流淚。她的病情亦不斷惡化，曾於上月初一度停止呼吸。醫護人員相信她已離死不遠，特意安排多蒂梅躺在特製病床，再帶到克里姆的病房，讓她們母女團聚。克里姆終得見女兒，於三日後離世。
