母嬰院加人 應付湧港嬰

明報專訊】內地孕婦來港產子除了令本地醫院產科超負荷，衛生署母嬰健康院亦被並非港人所生的嬰兒「迫爆」，父母其中一人或兩人都不是本地人的嬰兒，佔母嬰健康院總嬰兒人數達49％，其中北區的健康院情况尤其緊張，政府已增加約10名醫生及40多名護士應付。
本地內地比例各一半
食物及衛生局長周一嶽承認，衛生署母嬰健康院的嬰兒數目持續上升，過去6年，新個案總共錄得約30萬，每年平均有5萬，06至07年間錄得4萬多，至近年已增至6至7萬，本地父母與非本地父母的比例接近，前者佔51％，後者49％，16％嬰兒父與母都不是本地人。
周一嶽表示，有見服務量不斷增加，過去數年已增加約10名醫生及40多名護士配合，他預計服務量會不斷增加，政府最近已採取政策限制內地孕婦來港產子的人數。不然受影響的服務不止產科、兒科，連帶其他服務也會受影響，他強調「內地孕婦來港產子一定要配合香港整體的服務量。」
他說，由於北區較接近邊境，故會有居於內地但在港出生的小童來港接受服務，令北區母嬰健康院工作量增幅較大。衛生署表示，包括新界北區的新界東母嬰健康院服務的嬰兒中，25％的父與母都不是本地人，署方會繼續為所有符合資格的兒童提供服務，亦會增撥資源應付。
